Walt Hall

A few weeks ago I went to the local art walk with a couple friends. We didn't really see anything too impressive (IMO) until we entered the Cactus Gallery. I instantly fell in love with the work of Walt Hall, which was part of their 5th annual BIRD show "Funky Flocks and Flying Feathers". I had been wanting to buy some paintings and found these mixed media pieces on wood - part of his "fenceposts for a better tomorrow" series. I love the characters! I ponied up & bought two pieces. They are numbered in the thousands, so he must churn out a lot of work. I took a look at his website & while I don't love everything he does, his work is so interesting & fun.
